In Tanzania there are millions of children who aren’t going to school because they just can’t afford it. The monthly wage for the majority of people is around 200 US dollars per month. Public school costs approximately 100 US dollars per year, per child.

As one can imagine, lower income people don’t have the money for school, and unfortunately there aren’t any governmental subsidies or initiatives to pick up the slack. This is where programs like ours steps in.

As mentioned before, each teacher will teach the skill that they have acquired in their various careers.  As a former Accountant, Apostle Betsie will be teaching how to start a business. Here in Tanzania, there are many opportunites to make money, but many people lack ideas and know-how. That’s where the short courses come in.
